ST. ELIJAH CORNERSTONE MEN’S CLUB The St. Elijah Cornerstone Men’s Club was organized in 1971 by George “Djuri” Volitich, There was a membership of 45 or 50 men. The club’s main purpose was to help our St. Elijah Church in all ways possible. Their first big project was to purchase and install basketball equipment for the Center Gymnasium, plus a sound system, the Velvet Curtain for the Center stage, weight equipment. At one point in time the Mother’s Club purchased tile for the floor of the downstairs of the church hall. Rather than having to pay for installation the Men’s Club took on the task. Their talents afford us the opportunity to utilize them whenever needed to save money for the church. One of the Men’s Club’s biggest projects has been renovating and maintaining the picnic pavilion and the surrounding grounds at the Cemetery. This is very much appreciated from all of our parishioners. Their priority is always to help their church whenever called upon.
